Privacy policy

Last updated: September 22, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Anoussya collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Anoussya is the trade name of BAUERNA LLC, 5830 E 2nd St Ste 7000 #38451, Casper, WY 82609, United States. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean BAUERNA LLC, and "you" means anyone who visits anoussya.com, buys from us, subscribes to our messages, or contacts our support team.

We sell a small range of socks directly to customers in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. We are not an advertising company and we do not make money from your data. We collect what we need to take an order, deliver it, answer you when something goes wrong, and understand which of our advertising is worth paying for. Everything below is a description of that, in plain terms.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you place an order we collect your name, shipping and billing address, email address, phone number, and the contents of your order. When you contact support we collect whatever you choose to tell us, including the contents of your emails. When you subscribe to emails or SMS we collect your email address or mobile number. When you leave a product review we collect your name or initials, your rating, and anything you write.

Payment information. We do not see or store your full card number. Card details are entered directly into our payment processor's systems and we receive only the information needed to identify the transaction: the last four digits, the card brand, the authorisation result, and the billing address you provided.

Information collected automatically. When you browse the site we and our service providers collect your IP address, approximate location derived from it, device and browser type, operating system, the pages you view, the links you click, the products you look at, what you add to your cart, how long you stay, and the website or advertisement that brought you to us. Some of this is collected through cookies and similar technologies, described below.

Session recordings and heatmaps. We use a product analytics tool that records how visitors interact with our pages: mouse movement, scrolling, taps, clicks, and the sequence of pages visited. These recordings are used to find broken layouts and confusing steps in the checkout. They are pseudonymised, they exclude what you type into form fields such as address and payment inputs, and we do not use them to identify individual people. If you would rather not be recorded, you can opt out using the link in the "Your choices" section.

Information from other sources. Advertising and analytics platforms tell us, in aggregate, which advertisements led to visits and orders. Our fulfilment and carrier partners tell us the delivery status of your parcel. Fraud prevention services give us a risk assessment on an order. Where you have interacted with us on a social platform, that platform may tell us that an order came from one of our advertisements.

How we use your information

  • To take, process, ship and, where necessary, refund your order.
  • To send you transactional messages: order confirmations, shipping notifications, tracking updates and delivery problems.
  • To answer your questions and resolve complaints, returns and delivery issues.
  • To send you marketing emails or text messages, where you have asked us to.
  • To measure whether our advertising works, and to show our advertisements to people who are likely to be interested.
  • To improve the site: which pages load slowly, where the checkout breaks, which product photographs actually help.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, chargebacks and abuse.
  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files placed on your device. We use them in four ways.

  • Strictly necessary. Keeping you signed in, remembering what is in your cart, and securing the checkout. The site does not work without these.
  • Functional. Remembering your preferences, such as a size or a colour you selected.
  • Analytics. Understanding how the site is used in aggregate, including the session recordings described above.
  • Advertising. Measuring which advertisements produced a visit or a sale, and letting advertising platforms show you our products after you have visited us.

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break the cart and the checkout. Blocking analytics and advertising cookies will not affect your ability to order.

Advertising, and what "sharing" means

We advertise on social platforms. To measure whether that advertising pays for itself, we place a measurement tag on our site that reports back to those platforms which of their users visited, added to cart, or completed a purchase. We may also provide those platforms with a version of your email address or phone number that has been irreversibly scrambled before it leaves our systems, so they can confirm a match without us handing over your actual details.

Under some privacy laws, including those of California, this kind of measurement and advertising activity counts as "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, and in some readings as a "sale", even though no money changes hands for your data. We describe it that way so that you can make an informed choice, and you can switch it off at any time on our Your Privacy Choices page.

We do not sell your personal information in the ordinary sense of the phrase. We have never sold a customer list and we do not intend to.

Who we share your information with

We share personal information with service providers who perform work for us, under contracts that limit them to that work. We do not authorise any of them to use your information for their own purposes.

  • E-commerce platform and payments. Shopify, which hosts our store, processes orders and handles payment.
  • Fulfilment and delivery. Our fulfilment partner and the postal and courier services that carry your parcel, who receive your name, address and contact details in order to deliver it.
  • Order tracking. A tracking service that retrieves carrier status so you can follow your parcel.
  • Email and SMS. Our messaging platform, which sends transactional and marketing messages and stores your subscription preferences.
  • Analytics and site performance. Providers of aggregate analytics, attribution reporting, session recording and page-speed optimisation.
  • Advertising platforms. The social and search platforms where we advertise, for measurement and audience matching as described above.
  • Reviews. A reviews platform that invites you to rate a product after delivery and publishes what you choose to write.
  • Merchandising tools. Bundle and post-purchase offer tools that run inside our store and checkout.
  • Fraud and chargeback prevention. A service that scores orders for fraud risk and responds to payment disputes.
  • Professional advisers. Our accountants and, where needed, our lawyers.

We may also disclose personal information where the law requires it, to respond to a lawful request from a public authority, to enforce our terms, to protect the rights and safety of any person, or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case we will tell you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Where your information is held

We are based in the United States, and our service providers process information in the United States and in other countries. If you are outside the United States, your personal information will be transferred to and processed in a country whose privacy laws may differ from those of your own. Where we transfer personal information out of a region that restricts such transfers, we rely on the safeguards permitted under that region's law, including standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as we need them to serve you and, after that, for as long as tax and accounting law requires us to, which in our case is seven years. Marketing subscription records are kept until you unsubscribe, and then we keep a minimal record of your unsubscribe so that we do not message you again by mistake. Session recordings are kept for a short period and then deleted automatically. Support correspondence is kept for as long as it may be needed to handle a repeat issue or a dispute.

Your choices

  • Marketing emails. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. It takes effect immediately.
  • Marketing text messages. Reply STOP to any message.
  • Advertising and analytics. Use our Your Privacy Choices page to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for advertising. We also honour the Global Privacy Control signal, so if your browser or an extension sends it, we treat it as an opt-out request for that browser without you needing to do anything else.
  • Session recording. You can opt out of the session recording tool for all sites that use it at clarity.microsoft.com/opt-out.
  • Cookies. Clear or block them in your browser settings.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights. We honour them for every customer who asks, wherever they live, except where the law requires us to keep something.

  • Access. Ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy.
  • Correction. Ask us to fix information that is wrong or out of date.
  • Deletion. Ask us to delete your personal information. We will do so unless we are required to keep a record, for example a completed sale for tax purposes.
  • Portability. Ask for your information in a portable format.
  • Opt out of targeted advertising, and of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where we relied on your consent.
  • Non-discrimination. We will not give you worse prices or worse service because you exercised a privacy right.

California. If you are a California resident, you have the rights above under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, including the right to know the categories of personal information we have collected, the categories of sources, the business purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties to whom we disclosed it, all of which are set out in this policy. We do not knowingly collect or process the sensitive personal information categories in a way that triggers the right to limit their use. You may use an authorised agent to make a request on your behalf, and we will ask for proof that you gave them permission.

Other United States states. Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws, including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Delaware, Iowa, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Minnesota, Maryland, Tennessee, Indiana, Kentucky and Rhode Island, have comparable rights and, in most of those states, a right to appeal if we refuse a request. If we refuse, we will tell you how to appeal.

Canada. If you are in Canada, you may ask for access to your personal information and challenge its accuracy under PIPEDA and applicable provincial legislation, and you may withdraw consent to our use of it, subject to legal and contractual limits.

Australia and New Zealand. If you are in Australia or New Zealand, you may request access to and correction of your personal information under the Australian Privacy Principles or the New Zealand Privacy Act, and complain to us before taking a complaint to the relevant privacy regulator.

Europe and the United Kingdom. We do not target the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, but if you are there and we hold your personal information, you also have the right to object to processing, to ask us to restrict it, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Where we process your information, we do so to perform our contract with you, to comply with a legal obligation, with your consent for marketing and non-essential cookies, or for our legitimate interests in running and securing an online shop.

How to exercise a right

Email support@anoussya.com with the request and the email address or order number you used. We will confirm we received it, verify that the request really comes from you, and answer within 45 days, or tell you why we need longer and take at most a further 45 days. There is no charge unless a request is repetitive or excessive, in which case we will tell you before doing anything.

Security

Payments are processed over encrypted connections by a PCI-compliant provider, and the site is served over HTTPS. Access to customer data inside our own systems is limited to the people who need it to do their job. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we will tell affected customers and the relevant authorities if a breach occurs and the law requires notice.

Children

Our store is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.

Automated decisions

We do not make decisions about you that produce legal or similarly significant effects using automated processing alone. Orders are scored for fraud risk automatically, and where that score leads to an order being held or cancelled, a person reviews it and you can contact us to have it looked at again.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when what we do changes, or when the law does. The date at the top tells you when it last changed. If a change materially affects how we use information we already hold about you, we will tell you directly rather than rely on you noticing this page.
